Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI), represented by the School of Public Administration and Development Economics (SPADE), welcomed newly-admitted 2020-2021 students of the Executive Master of Public Administration Programme (EMPA) during a remote orientation meeting.
The event was attended by administration and finance vice-president Dr Hend al-Muftah, SPADE dean Dr Hamid Ali, and faculty members of the programme.
Al-Muftah described the programme as an excellent opportunity to create academic awareness to combine academia and professionalism in order to achieve Qatar’s vision.
“SPADE has recently received NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration) accreditation, which is the most prominent achievement of Doha Institute within its plan for international recognition from international bodies and institutions,” she added.
Welcoming the 20 new students, Ali stated that the success of the programme during the previous four cohorts is evidence of the quality of scientific research in the fields of public administration and business administration.
Alumnus Abdulaziz al-Majali, general director of the Institute of Public Administration at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, said in a statement that the programme establishes an academic life that merged theory and practice in Qatar work environments.
The Executive Master of Public Administration Programme track is designed to be finished in 21 months, during which students meet three to four days to enable them to reconcile academic and professional obligations.
