World No 1 Magnus Carlsen of Norway emerged winner of the Katara International Bullet Chess Online Tournament.
World Champion Carlsen defeated USA’s GM Daniel Naroditsky in the final on Wednesday. Iran’s grandmaster Alireza Firouzja and USA’s Andrew Tang finished second and third respectively.
The tournament was organised by the Qatar Chess Association (QCA) in collaboration with Cultural Village Katara from August 24 to 26.
The tournament received an overwhelming response from players from all over the world with 10,000 participants showing their talent and over 2,000 watching online. The first three qualifying stages were held on August 24 and the final round was played on August 26.
