Qatar participated Wednesday in the third extraordinary meeting of the GCC health ministers' committee held via video conferencing to discuss the latest updates regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Qatar was represented during the meeting by HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari.
The meeting discussed a number of important topics, most notably the countries' plans to return after the Covid-19 crisis, and a proposal to adopt a Gulf protocol to treat coronavirus cases.
The meeting also reviewed the GCC health ministers' decisions regarding the exchange of experiences, protocols and information among member states as well as the GCC guideline for plans to prepare for and respond to epidemics and pandemics, in addition to the results of the meetings of the undersecretaries of health ministries.
