The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) Saturday called on those with certificates to use land houses to adhere to the particular purpose, which is limited to private housing and not any other use.
The Ministry said that the competent municipalities will carry out inspection campaigns to monitor and inspect the uses of land homes, and if it is proven that they are being used for purposes other than those designated, legal measures will be taken to withdraw user certificates.
It has been noted that the usage of some houses is changed into workers accommodation or rented units or some other other purposes. It is considered a violation of the usufruct certificate granted by the Ministry.
In a related context, the Al-Shahaniya municipality carried out an inspection campaign at Rawdat Rashid area, to ensure that those who have land house certificate adhere to using them for the intended purpose.
The campaign resulted in monitoring of 14 violations of land house use where they are changed from residential buildings to warehouses and the necessary legal measures were taken, as this is a violation of the provisions of Law No. (10) of 1987 regarding public and private state properties.
