The Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Silatech, recently held a series of educational workshops as a part of the ‘Foundation Programme for 2020’ aimed at helping participants start their own projects.
The workshops were held in continuation of the endeavour to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and enhance the role of youth in the society, Bedaya Centre said in a statement.
During the four-day, three-hour long workshops, participants of the Foundation Programme learned the most important steps that would enable them to implement their projects.
Entrepreneurship consultants from Bedaya Centre also shared knowledge regarding all the needed procedures to establish commercial projects, starting from steps to prepare a feasibility study. They explained some business models that entrepreneurs can follow, the best ways to market their products and services through social media, and how to reach to the widest segments of society, in addition to preparing financial reports based on the simplest calculation methods.
Hanane Ibrahim, business development manager at Bedaya Centre, said: “The workshops are part of the first series of workshops related to the Foundation Program for the year 2020. During the past two years, we offered similar workshops to enrich and enhance the capabilities of the participants and provide them with the needed tools and guidance necessary for them to achieve their goals and objectives.
“The previous workshops have been very useful in informing the upcoming entrepreneurs regarding the most important steps to be followed to ensure a clear vision on the needed requirements to ensure the success of their projects irrespective of its nature.”
She added: “This initiative comes within Bedaya Centre’s development plan and adopted approach, as we always strive to provide Qatari youth with favourable opportunities through educational programmes and workshops that we offer to provide the best opportunities for them to attain success in their chosen fields.”
