Winds, dust, spiked temp and again cold spell next week


The country is to experience southerly winds that may cause rise in temperature and then northwesterly wind that can bring in dusty conditions as well as a cold spell, the Department of Meteorology has said in a statement.  
The southerly wind is to affect Qatar Saturday causing a noticeable rise in temperature with maximums exceeding 30c in some areas.
On Sunday, northwesterly fresh to strong wind is expected to return reaching peak from Monday until Wednesday in association a deepening high pressure system over the region.These days, wind speed is expected to range between 15 to 25 kt inshore gusting to 35 kt causing dusty conditions at times with poor visibility below 2km in some areas. 
The northerly wind will be accompanied with a cold spell with maximum temperatures ranging between 14 to 18c and minimums between 9 to 14c reaching below 9c in southern areas of the country. 
Wind gusts offshore is expected to reach more than 40 kt causing high waves exceeding 10 ft.
Qatar Meteorology Department has urged all to be cautious, avoid all marine activities as well as to follow latest updates through it's official social media accounts.
