Toyota gives form to Doha girl's green car dream

Toyota Motor Corporation has made a young girl's dream come true by transforming her dream car drawing - 'Toyota Go Green Car' - into a reality by developing its replica.
Serah Maria Rejeesh recently won the 'Engineering Inspiration Award' in Japan at the 13th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest organised by Toyota Motor Corporation and Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co.
At a function held in the Toyota showroom at Al Abdulghani Tower, the replica car was presented to Serah by R K Murugan, acting CEO of AAB, in the presence of her father and the senior management from Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co.

Serah, a Grade 3 student of DPS Modern Indian School, "brought accolades to Qatar by winning the prestigious 'Engineering Inspiration Award', a press statement noted.
Serah believes her dream car will make the environment green and carbon-free.
Didier Leroy, executive vice-president of Toyota Motor Corporation, said Serah’s artwork has given "a vigorous inspiration to Toyota’s manufacturing spirits."
"The passion of making the air cleaner with a future car, which is expressed in Ms Serah’s drawing, is Toyota’s goal to achieve. It totally matches with our vision that Toyota has the aim of going beyond zero environment impact, hoping to achieve a net positive impact. In that sense, this artwork is very inspiring in terms of giving us courage and creativity for further challenge," Leroy said.
The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a worldwide competition conducted as part of Toyota's social contribution activities where children under 15 years of age draw their dream car.
The Toyota Dream Car Art contest in Qatar is one of the popular drawing competitions where children look forward to draw their dream car, the statement adds.
AAB will be launching the 14th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest this month.
